Big River Running Company is proud to partner with GO! St. Louis to bring you this season's training team; a fun, friendly and first class program for runners and walkers of all ability levels throughout the bi-state region.

Running/Walking a marathon or half marathon has become one of the most popular fitness activities in the country and it goes beyond just finishing the race. Being a marathon/half marathon finisher means you have put in the hard work and exercised the disicpline it takes to achieve such a goal. The training is 95% of the journey and the race is just icing on the cake. This group is designed to help you on your personal journey by providing you with coaches and teammates that share similar goals and can make the tough grind of training into a fun and social experience. Official Charity Training Program of GO! St. Louis

runnersThe GO! St. Louis Marathon & Family Fitness weekend hosts thousands of runners who choose to make their Marathon, Half Marathon, Marathon Relay or 5K experience more meaningful by participating on behalf of a charitable cause. GO! For a Cause, the official charity training program of GO! St. Louis, provides an exciting and rewarding opportunity for individual participants to accomplish training goals, while at the same time, allowing non-profit organizations to raise funds and awareness for their cause.

In 2011, official charity partners raised more than $330,000 as part of the expanding program. Since debuting in 2010, GO! For a Cause has raised more than $580,000 for local charities. GO! St. Louis is pleased to announce the expansion of the program to offer 25 non-profit organizations the opportunity to participate in the 2012 GO! St. Louis Marathon, Half Marathon, Marathon Relay or 5K event as an official charity partner.
