TEAM RANKINGS

TOP 10 GIRLS TEAMS

#1) LIBERTY - Won big at the Liberty Invitational over Rock Bridge who then won at the Forest Park Cross Country Festival.

#2) ROCK BRIDGE - An incredibly deep squad, they triumphed at Forest Park over pre-season #1 Marquette .

#3) MARQUETTE - The lady Mustangs won their season opener over Eureka and then finished a strong second at Forest Park .

#4) ROCKWOOD SUMMIT - A big win at First Capitol put them on the map and then a solid third at Forest Park puts them at #4.

#5) WEST PLAINS - Still the class of the Southwest part of the State.

#6) EUREKA - Nice victory at Stan Nelson Invite.

#7) JEFFERSON CITY - Dominating win at Mizzou meet.

#8) LEE'S SUMMIT WEST - Looked very good at Blue Springs Invite.

#9) BLUE SPRINGS - Second at their home meet to LSW.

#10) STE. GENEVIEVE - Close win at Perryville over Herculaneum.

TOP 10 BOYS TEAMS

#1) POTOSI - Incredible performance at the Forest Park Cross Country Festival scoring 30 points against a field that included seven teams on this list. If these guys are 14 th in the Country we'd like to see those other 13 teams!

#2) FORT ZUMWALT SOUTH - Big win at First Capitol and then scored 57 points for second at Forest Park .

#3) SLUH - Big jump from a pre-season #9 with a second place at First Capitol and a third at Forest Park .

#4) ROCK BRIDGE - They enter the poll after a fourth place at Forest Park that nets them fourth place here as well.

#5) LIBERTY - Four points back of Rock Bridge at their home Invite.

#6) OAK PARK - Convincing win at the Blue Springs Invite.

#7) MARQUETTE - They jump into the poll with a fifth place at Forest Park .

#8) LEE'S SUMMIT NORTH - Big win at CMSU.

#9) DESMET - Just five points back of Marquette at Forest Park .

#10) CBC - Finished 8th at Forest Park without Dan Quigley. Upon his return they should jump back up..

INDIVIDUAL RANKINGS

All season long (though maybe not as often as the team rankings) we will try to keep an eye out for the top 15 runners in the State. Again, these are the top 15 regardless of Class. It is a lot easier to miss a runner or two so we apologize if we shorted you or your teammate. #1) Brittani Johnson, JR, West Plains - Defending State Champ remains #1.

#2) Hilary Orf, JR, Marquette - Huge win at Forest Park .

#3) Lauren Borduin, JR, Rock Bridge - Won the Liberty Invite and then finished second to Orf at Forest Park .

#4) Ashley Mark, JR, Lee's Summit North - Twenty-five second win at CMSU.

#5) Brittany Tate, SO, Lee's Summit West - Big win at the Blue Springs Invite.

#6) Elizabeth Keaveny, JR, St. Teresa's Academy - Finished second at Blue Springs and also went stride for stride with Borduin at Liberty .

#7) Aimee Bonte, JR, Rockwood Summit - A win at First Capitol and a third at Forest Park garners the 7 spot here.

#8) Kelsey Rich, FR, Rockwood Summit - The freshman finished just behind her teammate at Forest Park .

#9) Lydia Newland, JR, Liberty - Third at Liberty Invite.

#10) Tori Mirfasihi, Sion - Finished right with Keaveny at Blue Springs .

#11) Katie Leinert, Eureka - Won the Stan Nelson Invite.

#12) Mary Goldkamp, SR, McCluer North
- A very strong fifth at Forest Park .

#13) Talia Youngstrom, Fort Zumwalt North - Second at Stan Nelson.

#14) Natalie Becker, Parkway West - Just behind Youngstrom at Stan Nelson.

#15) Kathleen Thompson, SO, Parkway Central - Actually haven't found results but we assume she's doing well!  

TOP 15 BOYS

#1) Josh Thebeau, SR, Potosi - Individual Champion at Forest Park over what will almost assuredly be the deepest field of the year in Missouri .

#2) Josh Mathis, SR, Potosi - Just five seconds back of his teammate at Forest Park .

#3) Kyle Rood, SR, Fort Zumwalt South - Ran a solid last 2k at Forest Park to move from fourth to third after winning at First Capitol the week before.

#4) Dan Quigley, SR, CBC - Has yet to race due to a foot problem but is back training and should be fine.

#5) Rick Elliot, JR, Kickapoo - Set school record at annual time trial and ran 28 seconds faster than a year ago.

#6) Phillip King, SR, Rock Bridge - Valiant fourth place effort at Forest Park after hanging with Mathis and Thebeau for 3k.

#7) Eric Fernandez, JR, Parkway West - Begins his year with wins at the Parkway quad and the Stan Nelson Invite.

#8) Matt Lawder, SR, SLUH - Big time run at Forest Park in fifth place.

#9) Brad Jochems, Lee's Summit - Fast win at CMSU.

#10) Pat Cole, SR, Fort Zumwalt South - Sixth at Forest Park .

#11) Kevin Denny, Lee's Summit North - Just behind Jochems at CMSU.

#12) Jacob Swearingen, SO, Potosi - Seventh at Forest Park .

#13) Nick Niggeman, SO, Potosi - Just behind his fellow sophomore teammate at Forest Park .

#14) Adam Behnke, JR, Lutheran South - Finished right behind Niggeman @ his opener.

#15) Will Hansen, Oak Park - Big win at the Blue Springs Invite.
