“Everybody runs in the summer. Champions train all year long.”

December 26-29, 2007

Location: Big River Running Company

Time: 9am – 1pm everyday from Wednesday December 26th thru Saturday December 29th .

Mission: To provide 7th -12th graders who participate in the sport of distance running with four days of winter training, classes and speeches from elite runners, and a whole lot of fun!

Big River Running Company is commited to being the area's number one resource for youth and high school running. Our website, bigriverrunning.com, provides young athletes with interviews and training tips from the area's top runners as well as pictures from big meets, rankings and more. In September Big River sponsored the second annual Forest Park Cross Country Festival, with more than 1,800 athletes from over 90 teams! This camp is another great way for us to give back to the running community and an even better way for young athletes to learn about the importance of year-long training for distance running.
