The Big River Racing Team made its annual trip to the US Club Cross Country Championships the second weekend in December. This year's championships were held in Lexington, KY and were as challenging as ever with 42 mens teams and 29 womens teams competing for top honors. The Big River men tied their highest finish ever taking 7th place at the prestigious event. They were the second highest retail store racing team behind only Boulder Running Company who finished second. 

Leading the way for the men was Ryan Bak who finished 9th. It is the second top 10 individual finish at the Club Champs for Big River since 2006. Check out Ryan's post-race interview HERE. Behind Bak the team put top 5 in the top 75 to finish 7th. The women's team was 22nd and were led by Julie Lossos in 61st.

Karl Gilpin was the overall champ at the historic Great River Road Run in Alton, Illinois. Gilpin ran 50:54 en route to a nearly 90 second victory. Julie Bergfeld took top honors in the female masters division.
