NOTE: Please check with each race directly for their COVID-19 plans as they may be postponing, offering deferrals, refunds or moving to virtual races. Same for in-store events and training programs for Big River. Due to the quickly changing nature of this situation, the most up-to-date information may not be reflected here. Please be understanding and patient with our community’s race directors and program/event coordinators. We are all doing the best we can in these challenging circumstances.

Strength Training For Runners Clinic
September 13, 2015 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
Muscle strength, power and endurance are essential to maintaining optimal running form. When muscle weakness affects running mechanics, injury can (and frequently does) occur. Yet, many runners prefer to prioritize their miles over strengthening.
In this clinic, expert physical therapists from the Washington University Running Clinic will demonstrate key exercises that target specific muscle groups in an effort to optimize strength for running without sacrificing your miles. The strengthening exercises that you will learn and will practice at the clinic can be performed anywhere to help you prevent common running injuries and achieve your running goals.
The cost of the clinic is $10. A portion of the proceeds benefit a local charity.
